The ‘All Things Nice’ Wish-List
Autumn has arrived here at the sanctuary and our recent rescued bear cubs, Sugar and Spice have found the courage to step outside onto cool grass for the first time since they were snatched from their wild forest homes.
From tasty trust-building treats to a cub climbing frame, you can help bring joy to once-abused bear cubs like Sugar and Spice. Could you send a little something nice to make little bears feel at home sweet home?
Also, we just have to share with you the moment brave bear, Spice, encounters a bubble bath for the very first time. Warning: It might melt your heart with joy...
Oliver is Gone. But in You, His Legacy Lives On...
For 30 years Oliver survived the torture of bear bile farming. He was strapped so tightly into a ‘full metal jacket’ that his lungs collapsed. He required emergency roadside surgery just hours after his rescue. We thought that we were going to lose him. But mighty Oliver lived.
Oliver made it home to our sanctuary in China, where he felt the only love and kindness he had ever known until he drew his very last breath.
Five years on, in his name and his memory, we fight for every single one of his bear brothers and sisters still out there, suffering.
This Oliver Day, 12th November, please remember Oliver… the bear who lived.
