The deadly coronavirus outbreak has sent shockwaves around the world. The increasing number of tragic deaths, rising panic and travel restrictions have disrupted every aspect of life across China and is making it more and more difficult for us to carry out our crucial work, caring for over 150 rescued bears across Chengdu and Nanning.
Whilst many people are fleeing the danger zones, our courageous and inspiring team on the ground have chosen to stay put, with some who were safely outside of the chaos, bravely rushing back to ensure the safety of our bears and dedicated staff.
This is frightening. We are facing a shortage of food, water and vital medical supplies, and prices are rising rapidly every day. This is a crisis that could last for months and we need to prepare for the possibility that this situation might get much worse before it gets better.
Please, will you help us - and the animals - through this devastating time?
